Venue History

The Hordern Pavilion was opened in 1924, built by the Royal Agricultural Society to function as an exhibition hall for the Sydney Royal Easter Show. The Hordern is named after Sydney retailer Sir Samuel Hordern. In the years after WWII , The Hordern became one of Sydney's most iconic live venues. The Hordern is now managed Playbill Venues, and remains one of Sydney's most popular music venues.
